The fantastic, the supernatural and the real present at the Princess of the Moon adventures of all types and models are part of the tale, a junction where elmentos natural earth and moon interact with humans. Everyone wants to marry the beautiful princess, but no one has that right. Princes die along the way, kings are dispensed and a series of machinations happens. Kaguyahime is the princess of the impossible, shows the diversity of the people nipônico, the fight to win. An interesting tale, full of mysteries connected directly to the culture and Japanese way of thinking. The choreographer Jiri Kylian takes the story of the mysterious princess and turns it into a full ballet. His narrative is not linear, it turns into a Kaguyahime complexity of movements and styles. Steps significant, rapid and long are the highlight of her dance. The abstract is present, experimentation and innovation are part of the work of the choreographer. Efficiently uses the light, and it changes settings quickly through the game of colors and effects. Dancers dialogue with the scenarios, unite them in a mix traditional and modern. Cars, huge Japanese drums, a profusion of colors and different scenes. Kylián not let the viewer's life easier, play the scenes of incomprehensible way, and if you do not know the legend, even watch the entire ballet will go on without knowing it. If you want easy, watch the soap opera of the Globe.
The music is by composer Maki Ishii, using oriental instruments and elements in their composition. Drums and flutes and even the Gagaku are present. Music blaring, it bothers his ears and nonsensical. It sounds more modern than the works of Schoenberg, but follows the course of the choreography. Choreographer and composer spoke the same language. Kaguyahime é um antigo conto de fadas japonês; elementos de todos os tipos se encontram na lenda oriental. O fantástico, o sobrenatural e o real se apresentam na princesa da Lua. Peripécias de todos os tipos e modelos fazem parte do conto, uma junção de elmentos naturais onde terra e lua interagem com seres humanos. Todos querem casar com a bela princesa, mas ninguém tem esse direito. Príncipes falecem no meio do caminho, reis são dispensados e toda uma série de maquinações acontece. Kaguyahime é a príncesa do impossível, mostra a diversidade do povo nipônico, do lutar para ganhar. Uma lenda interessante, cheia de mistérios ligados diretamente à cultura e ao modo de pensar japonês. O coreógrafo Jirí Kylián aproveita a história da misteriosa princesa e a transforma em um balé completo. Sua narrativa não é linear, ele transforma Kaguyahime em uma complexidade de movimentos e cores. Passos expressivos, rápidos e longos são a tônica de sua dança. O abstrato está presente, a experimentação e a inovação fazem parte do trabalho do coreógrafo. Utiliza de maneira eficiente a luz, e com ela altera cenários rapidamente através do jogo de cores e efeitos. Dançarinos dialogam com os cenários, unem-se a eles em uma mistura moderna e tradicional. Carros , enormes tambores japoneses, uma profusão de cores e diversas cenas. Kylián não deixa a vida do espectador fácil, joga as cenas de maneira incompreensível, e, se você não conhece a lenda, ainda que assista ao balé todo vai continuar sem conhecê-la. Se quer moleza, assista à novela da Globo.
A música é do compositor Maki Ishii, que usa elementos e instrumentos orientais em sua composição. Tambores e flautas e até o Gagaku estão presentes. Música estridente, que incomoda os ouvidos e sem nexo. Soa mais moderna que as obras de Schoenberg, mas acompanha o desenrolar da coreografia. Coreógrafo e compositor falaram a mesma língua. Se entenderam ao mostrar um trabalho complexo e de difícil assimilação.
Lançado no Brasil pela coleção O melhor do Balé, Kaguyahime será relançada em Outubro no mercado internacional. Eu prefiro a música linear, a bela melodia, o balé clássico e romântico. Fico com minha Giselle, meu Lago dos Cisnes, minha Paquita e minha Bela Adormecida.

The Japanese fairy-tale, Kaguyahime, tells the story of the Moon Princess who wishes to bring peace to the Earth, but only succeeds in provoking conflict. Jirí Kylián's highly individual choreography is an exquisite mirror of Maki Ishii's sometimes haunting, sometimes violent music, which fuses Western and Eastern sound elements. The Circle Percussion ensemble, conducted by Ishii, plays an integral part in the staging of the ballet. With stunning designs and lighting by Michael Simon, Kylián has created a highly-charged fusion of dance, music and theatrical images. Performed by the Nederlands Dans Theater, Kaguyahime was recorded in studio and a short introduction to the piece by Maki Ishii is available.
